Research

The Institute promotes ethical reflection and engagement through its research, education and practice in three core areas: Moral Education & Decision-Making, Organizational Ethics, and Civic & Global Ethics.

Over those three areas, we examine the ways emotion, cognition, and culture affect morality and how best to cultivate individual growth and ethical understanding; we seek to understand what constitutes an organization’s culture, how ethical cultures have changed over time, and how different factors can improve or corrupt an organization’s ethical climate; and we concentrate on key ethical challenges in relationships within and across political and cultural communities.

Current topics include:
Institutions in Crisis
Rethinking Regulation
Organizational Ethics
Academic Integrity
Good & Evil
Debates in Moral Education
Faculty Seminars
